Larry Ward (third from left), and (Ret.) Major Gary Salisbury on right. Jim and Larry Ward were both in Charlie Company, 4th/9th Infantry (The Manchu's), 25th Infantry Division. Gary Salisbury was a helicopter pilot with the Hornets that flew in the Cu Chi area of operations, supporting the Manchu's. Sarah is being presented a poster featuring the outline of Vietnam in the background with the dragon symbol of the Manchu 's of the 4th/9th Infantry superimposed over it. This was given to Sarah in appreciation for her service to so many wounded Manchu's during the Vietnam war. Sarah actually sewed up Jim Vines fingers that were nearly blown completely off by an artillery shell that fell short in a friendly fire incident. Larry Ward served as a platoon leader in Jim's infantry company .
