Margaret Lewis Warwick came out of the plains of West Texas, performed on Louisiana Hayride near the programs end, and went on to Nashville as a songwriter and a force in the music world there. She and her husband, Alton Warwick, returned to Shreveport to rejuvenate Louisiana Hayride, which was much more than a mere radio program. The Warwicks continue efforts to rejuvenate Shreveport as a recording and performing mecca, hoping one day to return Louisiana Hayride to its rightful place as a stage for music stars and the next great stars.
