Constance Parker, a native of Maine, was serving in Boston General Hospital when a Navy lieutenant from a prominent Massachusetts family arrived. His name was John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and he had been admitted after injuries received in the Pacific. He seemed not badly injured, but his family visited him often, as did many young women friends from the area.
