Ronn Flowers was born in 1959 to Bobby and Billy Flowers as one of five children. His mother was a stay at home mom and his dad was a part-time musician playing the steel guitar. Ronn got his first guitar, a Del Ray, around the age of eleven or twelve and his father taught him to pull the melody out of songs, playing by ear. He remembers playing Ozzy Osbourn's Snowblind, Three Dog Night and Chicago. After high school he worked in the oil business for a while then went into the window business which he has continued as a career while playing music on the side. With money from his window business he was able to buy a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe wine-red guitar. He met Brian Martini who had the Christian rock band Philadelphia and through contacts with Brian he began playing guitar with the group Black Oak Arkansas and later with the band Philadelphia. He stayed with Philadelphia, making several albums, until the band broke up in 1987. His biggest musical influence at the time was Bad Company, Peter Frampton and Led Zeppelin. His writing style was influenced in the late `70s and into the `80s by the Quiet Riots, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and Judas Priest. His favorite artist for music in general is John Mayer because he loves his melody. He does not have a website but he has a Facebook page. Ronn has five children.
